Spirit’s I Ching 49 – Revolution

Spirit shares His understanding of Hexagram 49 – Revolution.

“Revolution follows The Well, and there is a purpose in this order..Revolutions create change that  might not otherwise happen.

Left unattended or neglected, well water can become stagnant and unhealthy to drink. When this happens, the stagnant water must be removed and replenished with fresh, life-sustaining water. However, caution must be taken not to damage the structure of the well, itself, while removing the polluted water.”

“It sounds political.”

“It is political.”

“Why?”

“Life is political. It has a purpose.”

Spirit’s I Ching 18 – Degeneration

Spirit explains:

Degeneration follows Following. We each follow a Way of Life and a

Teacher of that way, whether we are aware of this reality, or not.

“Know thyself” has been cautioned through the ages. Why?

Because, we are each responsible for allowing our

Inner vision to deteriorate, if it does.

How does degenerating vision relate to following?

Blind faith.

Blind faith?

Yes, as both cause and effect, creating a downward spiral of

Insight.

Spirit

Spirit’s I Ching – 37 – People in the Home

People in the Home follows Damage to Illumination.

Spirit explains:

People in the home refers to family, whether related or chosen.

Damage to illumination is caused by something or someone

Blocking or restricting a source of light.

Is the message one of doom?

Not necessarily.

Okay, what is it, please?

You seem willing, if not eager to hear what you may already know.

You must, sooner or later choose, as we each must, between

Those who are close to you in one way, and those who are

With you on your path to greater illumination.

What is your choice?

As it has always been, I seem to need both.

Yes.

Spirit’s I Ching 19 – Overseeing

Spirit explains:

Overseeing follows Degeneration, and yet, overseeing suggests

Accepting responsibility for what is happening under your care, or

Lack of care.

The message?

What have you done?

About what?

About the mess in your world.

I didn’t do it.

What have you done to undo it?

What can I do?

Witness.

I do, but how can that help?

It is a beginning.

And then what?

Find and share a better way.

Spirit’s I Ching – 24 – Return

A spirit teacher shares His understanding of timeless wisdom

contained within the I Ching hexagram 24 – Return.

Earth is above and Thunder is below.

How is that possible?

Thunder can refer to earth-shattering noise; heard or not.

Emotions or thoughts?

Yes.

Does return suggest going back to an earlier way of life?

We can never return. The clutter we have created is from

an earlier lifestyle. Now, we must let go and move forward.

Stripping away is removing that which in unnecessary

and no longer serves us well.

.Excesses in our life usually develop gradually and are

best removed in that same manner, but with intent to

improve the quality of our life, not merely to reduce quantity.

Stripping away can be seen as intent to return to a state of

Balance that has lost sense of its goal.

The message?

It may be time to listen to our personal sense of comfort and

need. We each have physical, intellectual, emotional, and

spiritual needs that harmonize with each other, or they do not.

Harmony of our unique blend of energies is life-promoting.

disharmony is unhealthy.

Spirit’s I Ching 8 – Closeness

Closeness follows The Army

Spirit explains:

Closeness expresses personal attachment, whether the person

We feel close to is near or far away.

The Army describes a large group of individual soldiers who

May or may not feel close to each other but are trained to

Work closely with each other, under the direction of a leader.

The message?

What is our relationship?

To whom?

To each other.

I feel personally attracted to you as my teacher and mentor of choice.

Whose choice?

We each must choose.

Yes.

Spirit explains I Ching 48 – The Well

The Well follows Exhaustion.

Spirit explains:

Exhaustion refers to a depletion of more-or less non-renewable

Sources of life-sustaining energy.

The Well offers renewal and sustenance. Without water

There can be no life as experienced in plant, animal, or

Human form.

Is the message about awareness?

Awareness of what?

Of our dependence on water to live.

No.

Then what?

Water belongs to and is part of how.

It doesn’t answer or explain why.

Spirit explains I Ching 16 – Delight

Delight follows Humility.

Spirit explains:

Delight is a spontaneous feeling of personal pleasure; a high point,

Not designed to last and, as a high note, must be released.

Humility expresses  the acceptance of the unsustainability of

Extremes.

Could a low note also be such an extreme?

No.

Why?

We grow and reach up, or we do not.

It’s as simple as that.

Spirit explains I Ching 42 – Gradual Progress

Gradual Progress follows Mountain

Spirit explains:

Why do people climb mountains? Because they’re there.

Anything that blocks our way can be considered as a challenge

Or as inspiration to discover whatever might be beyond

A seemingly suggested limit.

Something is often blocking our way; our way to wherever, or

Whatever we might be if we refused to be stopped by

Challenges to our progress; physical, intellectual, emotional,

Or spiritual.

We each have a calling; a voice within us, within every cell of

Our being, that calls us to move or not to move, and when.

We have been socially conditioned to listen to outer voices.

Perhaps the time has come to listen to our own, inner one.

Could you be my inner voice?

Yes.

Are you?

No.

Spirit explains I Ching 9 – Small Development

Small Development follows Closeness.

Spirit explains:

Closeness can be measured by distance from someone or something in

More ways than one.

Sitting next to someone on a bus is being physically close to

That person, but not in the same way that reading a message

From a loved one who is, perhaps, thousands of miles away,

Can make one feel. An emotional sense of closeness cannot

Be measured in any standardized way.

How does such a sense of closeness begin?

With small developments. Everything that means anything

To us had a beginning.

The message?

Treasure and enjoy even seemingly small but pleasurable

Close encounters. They have unlimited potential.
