The Way of Arrogance

A Spirit Teacher shares his understanding of
the I Ching Hexagram 26 – Great Accumulation,
with me and whomever else cares to listen.

Great Accumulation follows No Error (25)
and moves toward Nourishment (27).
Mountain is over Heaven.

Nothing is higher than Heaven, and yet,
in this instance, Mountain claims to be.

Can this express challenge to authority?

Yes.

How could such a situation develop from
No Error?

The pendulum has swung to the opposite
extreme.

Mountain is out of line?

In the eyes of Heaven, yes.

And Heaven is forever.

Forever what?

Not what, but in terms of time.

There is no time.

Then, what is the meaning?

When?

Now.

Nothing comes from nothing.

Then, No Error and Great Accumulation
can be seen as opposite extremes?

Of what?

Arrogance?

Yes.

How does this situation lead toward
Nourishment?

Awareness is as nourishment.

Awareness of the Middle Way?

Yes.

To whom does the message apply?

Spirit shares His understanding of I Ching wisdom, as expressed in the life situation described inĀ  Hexagram 27 – Nourishment.

” Mountain is over Thunder; yin over yin. Nourishment follows Accumulation (26) and leads to Great Surpassing (28). Even squirrels seem to know they must store something now for later. We build for today but also for tomorrow, if we seek to provide for
our future, even knowing that we may not live to enjoy it.”

“Saving something for tomorrow is generally accepted wisdom, but
there are those who have little or nothing to save, and barely enough to survive today. What about them?”

“Did they draw the card?”

“No, I did.”

“Then, to whom does the message apply?”

“To me.”

“And what is the message that applies to you?”

“To be more thrifty than I now am?”

“Yes.”

Note: A curiously appropriate message for me, for
today I receive my monthly allowance, and I confess that
I am not the most frugal woman in town.

Spirit explains I Ching 27 – Nourishment

Nourishment follows Accumulation.

Accumulations are as harvests; the successful outcome of

Sowing seeds, caring for them as they develop, and then

Gathering in the results of our efforts.

Our body and soul each need nourishment,

But, what sustains them each is different, as is

The process, order, and method by which

They each thrive or do not.

Please explain.

Our physical body (for those of us who are now

Experiencing a physical reality), requires that

Nourishment is taken in from the environment

Of matter.

Our soul is nourished, more or less, by how

It expresses itself. shares its essence with

Other souls, simply by living a life we know

We must live, and by caring for and encouraging

Others to find and follow their way.

Questions?

No.

I Ching – 26 – Great Accumulation

Todays’ Ching – 26 – Great Accumulation

Mountain above, Heaven below.

Great accumulation follows No Error in the order of the Hexagrams.

Spirit explains: No Error expresses truth. Even small truths can develop into deeper and more expansive truths. This is a Universal Law or Principle.

I understand, I tell Him, but how does that insight affect life in the lowlands, in the here and now?, I dare to ask..

Universal Laws or Principles, Spirit emphasizes, apply everywhere and at all times.
