I Ching 61 – Sincerity in the Centre

Today’s I Ching reading by Spirit

Wind over Lake

Sincerity follows Discipline

Spirit explains:

As wind moves water, discipline moves sincerity,

Directing our chosen lifestyle.

If we sincerely desire and intend to follow our path

With purpose, then discipline will be a welcome

Companion.

I hesitate to ask who …

Yes.

I Ching 61 – Sincerity in the Centre

Sincerity follows Discipline in the order of the Hexagrams.

Spirit explains:

Discipline, as self-control, and it is always self-control, for

Whatever reason, is not a value in itself. It is a means to an end.

What about Sincerity?

What about it?

Why does it follow Discipline?

It always follows Discipline.

Why?

If we are sincere in our intention to do or be whatever, then

Self-discipline must be followed.

Excess Compassion

Spirit shares His understanding of timeless wisdom
expressed within the I Ching hexagram 62 – Small Excess.

Thunder is over Mountain. Both contain active yang energy,
each reinforcing the power of the other.

Small excess suggests a limited expansion of an otherwise
rigid boundary of what is acceptable or required, such as
pouring even a little more of whatever into a cup than it
can contain. That would be wasteful

Can there be a little excess of compassion?

What would it look like?

Caring and yet recognizing a need for even more care.

How is that expressing excess compassion?

Giving all that I can and knowing that it isn’t enough
to satisfy the need of those for whom I feel compassion.

We can never give even a small excess of compassion.
No amount would be wasteful.

Whether or not it seemed to be appreciated?

Compassion is a feeling of oneness with all and reflects
the quality of our own awareness of the oneness of all
life. We share our love. We don’t measure it.
