Closeness and Triangles

Water, a yang energy, is over Earth, a yin energy.

The vision of water spread over earth suggests flooding.

Yes, and in this context it expresses emotional flooding

My patio Hosta is now sitting in such a wet condition, but his planter pot is too heavy for me to tip over to remove the excess water.

Why did you over-water a plant you claim to care for?

I meant no harm but I generously watered hanging baskets of flowers, after having provided for the plants below, in the same manner

So, unintentional abuse?

I guess.

Now what?

I need help to undo the harm I’ve done.

Yes.

What does that mean?

It means that the plants were too close to each other for you to serve one without offence to the other.

A lovers’ triangle?

How does that relate to real life?

It’s curious to me that Water is Yang and Fire is Yin.

Why?

I would consider fire to be more powerful than water.

How so?

Fire can rage out of control.

Water seems to be able to control fire more easily than can fire
control water.

Fire can heat water.

Not without human help to contain it.

I’ve distracted you from the reading.

Someone Must Supervise

Spirit shares His understanding of timeless wisdom expressed
within the I Ching Hexagram 19 – Supervision.

Supervision follows Deterioration (18) in the sequential order
of life experiences represented by the sixty-four I Ching hexagrams. Supervision then becomes the foundation of Observing (20).

The need to consciously supervise the renovation or rebuilding
of whatever has been allowed to fall into an unhealthy condition
refers not only to structures of wood and stone, but also to
physical, mental, and spiritual disease processes, as well as to
personal, social, and political relationships.

Someone or some force must supervise the development of a new
phase in the life of whatever or whoever has deteriorated.
Situations do not improve on their own. This is a Law of Life.

Everything and everyone needs help to recover from whatever?

Yes.

But, does supervision necessarily involve control over the
recovery or rebuilding of whatever?

If necessary, yes.

Who decides?

I do.

That sounds personal.

It is, as is life.

Today’s I Ching – 13 – Association with Others

Association with Others follows Obstruction.

 

Spirit explains:

 

Obstructions, both within and without, are a necessary

Part of life experience..

 

Why?

 

Seemingly impossible difficulties encourage us to become

Aware that we need to co-operate, to associate with others

For mutually beneficial results. We each help ourselves by

Helping others to co-create a more harmonious future, together.

 

How can we cooperate with those who will not?

 

Then don’t.

 

But…

 

A river moves where it can. Rock blocks the river’s flow,

Obstructing its forward movement. The river cannot flow

Through the rock, but it must flow, if only upward and around.

 

The message?

 

If you were as a river, and we all are, then what is

Blocking your path and how do you plan to move

Around this obstruction?

 

The answer might be easy if Life provided only one

Obstruction at a time.

 

Life never promises easy.

 

And, no..

 

And what if I am…?

 

Yes.

 

That can never be.

 

Why?

 

I am the force that moves the river.

 

And I am the river?
