Between Beginnings and Endings

Spirit shares His understanding of timeless wisdom
hidden with the I Ching hexagram 46 – Rising.

Earth is over Wind. Both are Yin.
Rising follows Gathering (45) and moves into
Exhaustion (47).

Rising expresses upward movement, such as the Sun
seems to rise from the Eastern horizon, each morning,
wherever on Earth we may be. It then seems to reach
high into the sky, about mid-day, and then begins
to descend toward the Western horizon, arriving there
to end its daily journey, each evening.

How does that story relate to inspiration?

It teaches us that we live within a structured universe.
There are rules of order, known as Universal Laws.

How can knowing them help me, here and now, today?

Beginnings and endings are inevitable, but what happens
between the two reflects free will.

How?

We each choose.

What?

Not what, alone, but also how and why.

How Many Times?

Spirit shares His understanding of the life situation expressed by I Ching Hexagram 14 – Great Possession. Fire is over Heaven. Both are yang.  Great Possession follows Association with Others (13) and leads to Humility (15).

“Fire, in this instance, expresses emotion out of control, or with great potential
to move in that direction. Heaven represents self-controlled
power and stability.”

“We’re into Yin and Yang again?”

“We can never leave the concepts of extremes of emotion
and control.”

“Why?”

“These are as boundaries within which we live.”

“Are they the same for everyone?”

“Yes and no.”

“Why yes?”

“We each choose the boundaries of our comfort or
safety zone, within which we live our life
our way.”

“And no?”

“Some dare to accept that self-imposed boundaries
can be expanded, without necessarily leaving
the situation or relationship the boundaries
enclose.”

“Why not just leave and start again?”

“How many times?”

Spirit explains I Ching 48 – The Well

The Well follows Exhaustion.

Spirit explains:

Exhaustion refers to a depletion of more-or less non-renewable

Sources of life-sustaining energy.

The Well offers renewal and sustenance. Without water

There can be no life as experienced in plant, animal, or

Human form.

Is the message about awareness?

Awareness of what?

Of our dependence on water to live.

No.

Then what?

Water belongs to and is part of how.

It doesn’t answer or explain why.
