Humility Develops

Spirit teaches the timeless wisdom of I Ching. Today’s lesson is expressed  in Hexagram 15 – Humility.

“Humility follows Great Possessions (14) in the order of the Hexagrams. Earth over Mountain – or is it Mountain pushing up through Earth? Humility, in it’s most sincere form, blended with awe and gratitude, can develop out of great possessions, when she who possesses abundance becomes aware that anything and everything we may  possess at any given time is doomed, or destined (depending upon one’s perspective), and is only ours while it is ours. What is becomes what was, sooner or later. The good news is that pleasures and possessions can be enjoyed without clinging to them.”

“What does that mean for me?”

“Do you now have great possessions?

“My lifestyle is a simple one.”

“Great possessions do not necessarily refer to material wealth.”

“Then, I am blessed with at least one great possession, Your teaching.”

“Yes.”

Sincere humility expresses respect

Today’s I Ching – 16 – Delight, follows Humility.

Thunder over Earth. One Yang controls five Yin, or do

Five Yin compete to please one Yang?

Spirit explains: Humility expresses acceptance of being

Less than someone or something, or pretending to feel so.

Why would anyone pretend?

It might serve you well to pretend, until you are able to accept

The reality of the relationship in question. Then, He might

Choose to continue to teach you.

Is the message a personal one?

Yes.

Spirit explains I Ching 16 – Delight

Delight follows Humility.

Spirit explains:

Delight is a spontaneous feeling of personal pleasure; a high point,

Not designed to last and, as a high note, must be released.

Humility expresses  the acceptance of the unsustainability of

Extremes.

Could a low note also be such an extreme?

No.

Why?

We grow and reach up, or we do not.

It’s as simple as that.

I Ching 16 – Delight

Today’s I Ching – 16 – Delight

Delight follows Humility.

Spirit explains:

Even if we possess much we can still feel humble.

To take delight in what we are blessed with and

Still feel humble expresses contentment.

Possessions of themselves cannot bring pleasure

Unless we possess what we value.

The message?

What do you value?
