Thinking Isn’t Being

Spirit shares His understanding of the I Ching
Hexagram 25 – No Error.

Heaven is above and Thunder is below.

No Error develops out of Return (25) and moves
into Great Accumulation (26).

There is always continuous movement within
each life and within each relationship that
connects each life into more than it would be
possible to be if individuality was other than
inseparable from all life; past, present, and
future.

Where does the concept of no error come into
this picture?

What picture?

Your description of life and of our oneness
within it

We are each more than one within Life. We are
Life.

Then, how does knowing that help us to live
a meaningful life?

We cannot live a meaningful life without
knowing it.

But, a meaningful life may mean different
things to different people.

What has that to do with anything?

Living a meaningful life may mean everything
to some individuals.

There are no individuals.

Perhaps, but there may be many of us who think
we are, more or less.

Thinking isn’t being.

It may be as close to being as some of us get.

Yes.

To See Essence – Close Your Eyes

A spirit teacher shares His understanding
of I Ching 11 – Tranquility.

Tranquility develops out of Treading
and moves toward Obstruction.

Earth is over Heaven.

Spirit explains: Normally, Heaven is high
above materially focused Earthly matters,
and yet physical beings can raise themselves
by their own effort, and with assistance
and companionship of others, may develop
a sense of oneness with all.

Heaven and Earth can be as one, when we
do our best to be who we are, and value
our own good opinion of ourselves,
while accepting that we are responsible
to the unity of Life, to contribute
to the development of higher understanding
of all, if possible, and it is.

Tranquility is not weakness in any way.
It is peace of mind. Whether we feel
we must join in active service to protect
our community or serve by teaching children,
or by driving a bus to know that we are
contributing to our community, provides
us with a sense of satisfaction that
living for self can never offer.

I can understand treading as a conscious,
intentional struggle to arrive at peace
of mind, but what about obstruction?

What about it?

How can Obstruction develop from Tranquility?

No situation or condition lasts forever.
If we allow ourselves to become self-satisfied,
then we set ourselves up for attack.

By whom?

Not by what?

What could attack our peace of mind?

Confrontation.

From whom or what?

From within our own mind.

How is that possible?

Self-doubt.

How does self-doubt develop?

By listening more to outside voices
than to those from within.

But, I can see …

You see form.

What else is there to see?

Essence.

How can I see essence?

Close your eyes.

I Ching 21 – Biting Through With Intention

Biting Through follows Observing (Hexagram 20).

Spirit explains: To observe suggests an attitude
of detachment and duality when, in essence
oneness is all that exists.

Biting through expresses awareness and intention;
a determination to experience oneness, and to
release or bite through whatever seems to prevent
us from experiencing that reality.

Such as?

Entrenched belief systems.

But, we must believe something.

Why?

We need guidelines; rules of order that make
sense; that we understand.

Yes.

I Ching 57 – Wind

Today’s I Ching – 57 – Wind.

Wind above, Wind below. Wind follows Travel in the order of the Hexagrams.

Spirit explains:  Even with change, there is order. What was comes before what is.

Wind travels and adapts to conditions and situation as it moves forward. But, it keeps moving forward.

I suspect he is urging me not to stop, but not to stop what?

Spirit; Not to stop becoming what you and everyone else is destined to become,, aware of Life as a oneness adventure, or, if you like, an adventure into oneness.
